Evelyn Farrant/Rupert Farrant (London accents) - lead role:

These two roles will be played by the same actor.  One (Evelyn) is an

out-of-work theatrical over-the-top slightly mad actor living in a basement

flat in Soho, London.  The other brother, Rupert, is a rich entrepreneur who

lives in a penthouse in Regents Park, London.  They absolutely hate each

other, and haven't seen each other for years.  Evelyn plots to murder Rupert

and take his place in society.  Sword fighting is called for in this role.

A fantastic part that needs a very energetic actor who can do two totally

different characters.

Mrs. McGee (London accent) - supporting role:

Middle-aged, garrulous and affected.  Open to flattery but anxious not to be

taken advantage of.  Hits the alcohol a bit and gets tipsy and tries it on

with Evelyn in one scene.  Fantastic character that is in and out throughout

the play.

Major Ambrose Powell (Irish accent) - could be a lead role or support:

The Major is an ex-Officer who was in Mons. Ypres. The Somme;  and is a man

with a very shady past, who is contacted by Evelyn to kill Rupert.  The

Major is on the run from the Chinese mafia, and Evelyn blackmails him into

killing Rupert.  Fantastic role.  Has to be old enough that you think he

could be the father of Evelyn & Rupert.

Hawkins (London accent) - supporting role:

This is the local Police Officer.  He only knows Rupert and pops in twice to

visit him. Small role.

The play takes place in 1936, and will be costumed from that period.  The

stage will be split into two houses, and takes place over a 24 hour period.
