Was it Colonel Mustard in the Library with the Wrench? or was it Ms Scarlet in the Billiard Room with the Candlestick? Step into the suspenseful world of "Clue On Stage," inspired by the iconic 1985 Paramount movie and the classic Hasbro board game. This hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery unfolds at a remote mansion, where six enigmatic guests gather for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, everyone becomes a suspect!

Led by the cunning butler, Wadsworth, our suspects—Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, and Colonel Mustard—race against time to uncover the killer among them as the body count rises.

Can you crack the case before it’s too late? With unexpected twists and laugh-out-loud moments, "Clue" is the comedy whodunit that will keep both cult-fans and newcomers on the edge of their seats, trying to figure out… WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

Stage Whispers

Jonathan Lynn’s 1985 film Clue, based on the Hasbro boardgame Cluedo, has become a cult movie – and a favourite of Henry Lawson Theatre’s Rebecca Fletcher’s family. No wonder that she grabbed the opportunity to direct Sandy Rustin’s stage adaptation Clue: On. Stage, which is just as whacky – and busy – as the movie!

4th Wall Reviews

There is something to be said for being original. When theatre is new, exciting, and cutting-edge, it can feel important. This being said, there is also something about taking the familiar and playing with it. Tropes exist for a reason because quite often the patterns of that story work and don’t beg for reinvention. When these tropes are played with and subverted it can feel as good as new. This is why the movie inspired by the board game, named elsewhere in the world, Clue works so well as a stage play. It is as subverted as you can get, high camp while still being true to the tropes laid down by the masters of the murder mystery before them.
